The finished mask has a lightweight, cooling gel texture with a subtle moonlit shimmer.
Step 1: Combine Your Gels
Take a clean, completely dry mixing bowl.
Add:
- 200 g Cucumber Gel
- 50 g Blue Tansy Gel
Using a clean spatula, slowly fold and mix the two gels together.
Mix until the blue colour is evenly distributed throughout the mask.
Maker Tip
Avoid aggressive whisking. Mixing too quickly can introduce lots of air bubbles into your gel.
Slow folding gives you a smoother and more professional-looking finished product.
Step 2: Add the Glow Extract
Add the complete 5 ml Glow Extract provided with your kit.
Mix gently until completely incorporated.
Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl while mixing so that the extract is distributed evenly throughout the mask.
Step 3: Add Cucumber Fragrance - Optional
Your kit contains 5 ml Cucumber Fragrance Oil, but you do not need to use the whole bottle.
For this project, use approximately:
0.5 ml Cucumber Fragrance Oil
This is roughly 10–20 drops.
Start with less.
Add around 5–10 drops, mix, smell the mask and then add a little more only if required.
Prefer a fragrance-free mask?
Simply skip this step.
The fragrance is completely optional.
More fragrance does not mean a better product. Keep facial products delicately scented.
Step 4: Create the Moonlight Shimmer
Now comes the fun part.
Add a very small amount of the cosmetic glitter provided.
Start with just a tiny pinch.
Fold it gently through the gel and observe the effect.
You are looking for a soft scattered sparkle, rather than a heavily glittered mask.
Add a little more only if required.
The Moonlight Look
The finished mask should look like tiny points of light floating through a beautiful blue gel.
Think:
moonlight on water, not a glitter bomb.
Step 5: Check Your Mask
Once everything has been incorporated, check your finished mask.
It should be:

✓ Evenly blue
✓ Lightly shimmering
✓ Fresh-looking
✓ Free from large clumps of glitter
✓ Delicately fragranced, if fragrance was added
Allow the mixture to rest for a few minutes if you notice bubbles from mixing.
Step 6: Fill Your Jars
Make sure all 3 mask jars are clean and completely dry.
Slowly spoon or pipe your finished mask into the jars.
Tap each jar gently against your work surface to help the gel settle and remove trapped air pockets.
Smooth the surface using a clean spatula.
Close the lids securely.

How to Use Your Moonlight Mask
Apply a thin, even layer to freshly cleansed skin, avoiding the eyes, lips and irritated or broken skin.
Leave it on for approximately 10–15 minutes.

Don't add water.
Adding water or other ingredients that are not part of the project can affect the texture, stability and preservation of your mask.
Use only cosmetic-grade glitter.
Never substitute craft glitter.
Don't overdo the fragrance.
Facial skincare should generally have a very light fragrance.
Mix gently.
Gel products easily trap air bubbles when mixed aggressively.
Patch test before use.
Whenever you make or try a new cosmetic product, perform a patch test before applying it extensively.
