📋 Ingredients & Measurements (for 6 Bars)
To create six bars of soap, we’ll be using:
Base Ingredients:
-
450g pH-sensitive soap base (oil-based with castor oil for extra nourishment)
-
3g Neroli & Orchid fragrance oil (allergen-free and kid-safe)
Coloring & Additives:
-
1 tsp pink mica powder (for a soft pastel hue)
-
1 tsp rose petal powder (for a natural pink tint and skin-loving benefits)
-
1 tbsp glycerin (helps mix mica evenly without clumps)
-
1 tbsp distilled water (for rose petal powder dilution)
🧴 Step-by-Step Formulation Process
Step 1: Prepare the Colorants 🎨
1️⃣ In a small jar, mix pink mica powder with glycerin to create a smooth, lump-free color blend.
2️⃣ In another jar, mix rose petal powder with distilled water for a soft natural pink hue.
👉 Why? Mixing powders in liquid first ensures they disperse evenly in the melted soap base without clumping.
Step 2: Cut & Melt the Soap Base 🧼
3️⃣ Cut 450g of the pH-sensitive soap base into small cubes for even melting.
4️⃣ Divide the soap base into three equal portions:
-
One portion stays plain white 🏳️
-
One portion will be mixed with pink mica 💗
-
One portion will be mixed with rose petal powder 🌸
5️⃣ Melt each portion separately in the microwave using 30-second bursts, stirring between intervals until fully melted.
👉 Why? This gentle, oil-based soap base melts like butter, making it easy to work with while retaining its nourishing properties.
Step 3: Add the Fragrance 🌿
6️⃣ Once the melted soap base is warm but not too hot, add 3g of Neroli & Orchid fragrance oil.
7️⃣ Stir well to ensure even fragrance distribution.
👉 Why? Adding fragrance when the soap is too hot can weaken the scent—waiting until it's warm ensures a longer-lasting, delicate aroma.
Step 4: Pouring & Swirling the Soap ❤️✨
8️⃣ Pour the plain white soap base first into a heart-shaped silicone mold.
9️⃣ Slowly pour in the pink mica soap base and the rose petal-infused soap base, creating a soft swirl effect.
🔟 Use a skewer or toothpick to gently swirl the colors for a marbled effect.
👉 Why? The rose petal-infused base creates a natural, muted pink, while the mica adds a pastel effect due to the white soap base.
Step 5: Let the Soap Set & Unmold ⏳
1️⃣1️⃣ Let the soap rest for 3-4 hours at room temperature.
1️⃣2️⃣ Once firm, gently unmold the bars and admire your beautiful, skin-loving creations! 😍
